Savannah Kay Lane (Vannie) July 15, 1949 - March 10, 2024 Savannah Kay Lane, age 74, of Del Rio went to be with the Lord Sunday March 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law Wayne Messer; parents Ed Doak and Elizabeth Lane; mother and father-in-law Decatur and Glady Brooks; sister Jeannie Lane; brother Eddie Lane; sisters-in-law Alice and Judy Brooks; brothers-in-law Clyde David, Herbert Joe and Connie Lee Brooks and Jerry Click; nieces Stephanie Jane Dockery, Brittany Sheree Allen, Jamey Louise Brooks Scott, Tasha Leann Lane and Rebekah LeAyn Ball; nephews John David Brooks, Vinson Lane and Johnny Steve Barnett. She is survived by her daughters Tammy Kay Messer of Del Rio, Libby Brooks of New Market; Son Lonnie (Millie Pantoja) Brooks Jr. of Cosby; granddaughters Nikki ( Shaun Cobbs) Brooks of Morristown, Brittany Martin of South Carolina, Lona, Heidi and Cheyanne Norton of Newport; grandsons Bradley (Morgan Mooneyham) Brooks of Cosby and Joe Norton of South Carolina; Great granddaughters Gabby, Kenzie, Emma, Lylah and Paisley Brooks and Sadie Tinker; great grandsons Marcus Cureton and Channing Cobbs; sisters Ethel (Bootsie) Fox of Newport, Sherry Lane of Sevierville and Teresa (Bob Webb) Jones of Newport; brothers Lonnie Lane, Larry (Linda) Lane all of Newport; Sisters-in-law Diane Brooks of Del Rio, Charlotte ( Johnny) Styles of Del Rio, Betty (Earl) Mathis of Newport Sharon Brooks of Sevierville and Reva Click of Morristown; brother-in-law Danny (Dottie) Brooks of Sevierville, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; She is also survived by her former spouse Lonnie (Mary) Brooks Sr. of North Carolina. The family would like to say a special thank you to Newport Convalescent Center and Smoky Mountain Home and Hospice for all their wonderful care. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. Thursday at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 A.M. Interment. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
